The Gift Of Giving Recreation For Underprivileged Youth

zoo (111K)The program mission is to give underprivileged and underserved children the opportunity to visit the Amusement Park and learn about nature, animals and their existence, and most of all the fun and excitement of visiting an amusement park, since 80% of household in Northern Toledo, Ohio, Lucas County, Ohio cities and other Ohio counties lives at or below the poverty-rate.

The Gift Of Giving Recreation For Underprivileged youth will give underprivileged youth the opportunity to visit the Amusement Park, who might otherwise never have the experience to learn about nature, animals and their inhabitants, and most of all the fun and excitement of visiting an amusement park.

At least 69% of the homeless population is single mothers with children and 39% of the homeless population is single mother leaving out of domestic violence situations. 49% of the poverty-stricken in Northern Toledo, Ohio, Lucas County, Ohio cities and other Ohio counties is children. Without your support these needy children will not have toys for Christmas Day. We need your assistance and support in providing a visit to the Amusement Park to children who might otherwise never have the experience.

The program will provide recreation for other underprivileged children residing in homeless shelters in Northern Toledo, Ohio, Lucas County, Ohio cities and other Ohio counties. The program will give low-income daycare centers, head start programs, and Afterschool programs, which supervise low-income children residing at their facilities with the opportunity to visit the Amusement Park.
