The program mission is to give underprivileged and underserved children the opportunity to visit the zoo and learn about nature, animals and their existence, since 80% of household in Northern Toledo, Ohio, Lucas County, Ohio cities and other Ohio counties lives at or below the poverty-rate.
The Gift Of Giving Recreation For Underprivileged youth will give underprivileged youth the opportunity to visit the Zoo, who might otherwise never have the experience to learn about nature, animals and their inhabitants.
At least 69% of the homeless population is single mothers with children and 39% of the homeless population is single mother leaving out of domestic violence situations. 49% of the poverty-stricken in Northern Toledo, Ohio, Lucas County, Ohio cities and other Ohio counties is children. Without your support these needy children will not have toys for Christmas Day. We need your assistance and support in providing a visit to the Zoo to children who might otherwise never have the experience.
The program will provide recreation for other underprivileged children residing in homeless shelters in Northern Toledo, Ohio, Lucas County, Ohio cities and other Ohio counties. The program will give low-income daycare centers, head start programs, and Afterschool programs, which supervise low-income children residing at their facilities with the opportunity to visit the zoo.

Our proposal request of 40,000 $0.42 United States Postal Stamps will cover 1/4 of the fundraising expenses.
The Gift Of Giving Every Stamp Count Fundraiser Campaign will offer much more than simply collecting stamps, but the campaign will help fund the organization huge direct mailing which consists of clients, potential donors, present and future donors. The campaign goal is to seek support from local residents, volunteers, businesses, foundations and funders, it offers an opportunity for our communities to work together and strengthen our giving spirit as a hold.
Our goal is to secure 40,000 $0.42 United States Postal Stamps to launch our campaign, we hope to recruit 50,000 potential donors to help support us and make a donation to our campaign. Every stamp will count and help us continue to serve those who need in our communities.
For the last seven years, The Gift Of A Helping Hand Charitable Trust has successfully provided resources, assistances and family programming to those families most in need in our communities throughout southeastern Michigan, including Wayne, Hamtramck, Oakland, Monroe and Macomb counties. We serve more than 5,000 families in our programs, services and activities.
